We are delighted to announce that Bayleys Country and Napier Port have signed on as anchor Sponsors of the Hawke’s Bay Future Farming Trust for the coming year.
Both are strongly supportive of the Trust’s aim to lift the bar for Hawke’s Bay farming and growing, ensuring both environmental and economic viability into the future.
Bayleys Country principal James MacPherson says: “We are pleased to support the Hawke’s Bay Future Farming Trust, who promote leading edge farming systems and thinking about what tomorrow’s farms will look like in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay region. The Trust’s objectives align well with Bayleys Country working towards innovative and sustainable future for farming for future generations.”
Napier Port CEO Todd Dawson comments: “Napier Port is the gateway to the world for Hawke’s Bay thriving primary sector and we’re committed to supporting the long-term growth of this sector and our export customers. In order to deliver for our customers and the wider local community, we’re making strategic investments to develop stronger customer relationships, prioritise and progress our sustainability goals and grow our collaborative partnerships. Driving the success of our region’s growers and producers is a goal we share with the Hawke’s Bay Future Farming Trust and their mission to ensure Hawke’s Bay farmers are well-equipped with the leading sustainable and profitable practices. We’re proud to partner with the Trust and support their important research and education work and together ensure a healthy and thriving Hawke’s Bay primary sector long into the future."
Welcoming these two commitments, Trust chair Liz Krawczyk commented:
“Both Bayleys and the Napier Port are key enablers for Hawke’s Bay agribusiness and our farmers and growers. We are thrilled to see them endorse the aspirations and work of the Trust. Their support will help the Trust identify, develop and communicate leading edge practices here in Hawke’s Bay that will help our region’s primary producers achieve financial and environmental sustainability.”
The Trust received launch funding from the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council and has been further supported in-kind by BM Accounting and Tuki Vineyard.
The Trust’s mission is to promote, inspire and celebrate profitable farming systems that enrich the environment and the community.
